This week for Book Club Thursday we are going to do a theme. We picked hero or heroine...do we like you? Do you ever find that your reading a book and you don't care for either the hero or heroine? It's happened to me a few times. It is sad to say it ruins the whole story for you. One of the times that it really killed me was when I was reading and enjoy a series by Sherryl woods called Trinity Harbor. The book is Along Came Trouble. It is book 3 in the Trinity Harbor trilogy. I loved Tucker Spencer the town Sheriff so much only to get to his book and HATE Mary Elizabeth Chandler. I thought as the book went on I'd warm up to her. That's happened to me where I didn't like either the hero or heroine then you get to know their story and find them likable. Well it never happened. I ended the book HATING HER!  Here's the cover and a little blurb about the book.  Trinity Harbor's sheriff Tucker Spencer has seen some action...but finding an almo

Book Club Thursday: Love in Her Dreams by Isobelle Cate

Image
Love in Her Dreams by Isobelle Cate The first time I stepped on Scottish soil, I fell in love with the place. I went to Scotland thrice last year and still couldn't get enough of it.  Once to meet an American author I greatly admire who was on vacation, and twice to take friends and family to visit Edinburgh and Stirling.  It is a place I'm willing to wake up really early and walk the Royal Mile to the Edinburgh Castle alone, knowing that this part of Edinburgh was the scene of executions of men and women for witchcraft and that ghosts abounded. And that's not even the tip of the iceberg. In a moment of inspiration, Alec and Tamsyn's story came to me. I started writing feverishly on a Saturday morning and had the first completed draft by Sunday evening. It was rejected the first time I sent it off so I honed and made it as perfect as I could before I sent it off to Secret Cravings. Isobelle Cate's Blog Here we are again, it's Book Club Thursda

No wonder the staff called her Ice Queen. She was so cold and aloof. There was no warmth about her. It was all business. The woman was a brilliant surge
