Goodbye 2019 & Hello 2020

I know you mostly feel the same way...where has the year gone? One second I was celebrating a new year and the next, we are at it again. I often joke that once we hit Holloween the year is done. It seems to speed by from there. Fast or slow I've had a wonderful year with you guys. I want to thank you for joining me. With a world filled with tons of blogs, I'm sure it's not hard to find ones to follow so...thank you! So much has happened this year in the world of publishing. We've had an author say that her husband tried to poison her. Two authors tried to Copywrite words and one author accused a long-time author of copying her book title to make more sales. Crazy right! We've lost a few authors. This one makes me so sad. A couple of my favorite authors didn't even have anything out this year. No clue why for most of them. Many of my favorite authors are also now writing women's fiction. Not some I follow but I'm glad for them. This past yea

Sunday Spotlight

This year I along with  Born to Read Books   are doing a few new posts. I love changing things up and around. From now on Sundays will be Sunday spotlight, where I will talk about all things books or share a book with you. You get the idea!  Thank you for enjoying my Sunday Spotlight post this year. As you can tell this is the last one for the year and I have to say I had fun with them. So I ask you, was there one post that you really liked? Or by the end of the year, you were tired of them? Should I keep it up next year?   I'd really like your thoughts on this. Thanks!

WTF Friday

Image
This is something new we (myself along with  Born to Read Books ) are doing this year. It's where we ask...wtf about something that's bothering us. Fun right! So here is what I want to talk about today. Since it's the last WTF Friday of the year I wanted to ask... What has bothered you most this year in the publishing world?  All year I've been giving you my complaints now here's a chance to air yours. I really want to know. Hell, is it all the word copywriting that's been going on? I have to tell you that's bugging me too. Or do you feel that many of your favorite authors aren't writing like they used to?  So please, share with me your thoughts.

Review: Sold on You by Cheyenne McCray

Charlee Burke is stuck on a deserted country road the day before Christmas Eve, just as a dangerous winter snowstorm begins to churn above her. The only person she knows who isn’t with family or has a sweetheart is the all-too-sexy-for-his-own-good Ace McBride—the last person on earth she wants to call. When Charlee’s name pops up on his phone, Ace is pleased, but surprised. As much as he teases her, and as mad as she gets at him, he figures she’s got to be pretty desperate. Sure enough, she’s in need of rescuing, and he’s happy to be her white knight. He’s always had a thing for Charlee, but he knows her history. He plans to show her he’s a man who can be trusted, and she can count on him. But her heart’s been shielded a long time, and it may be too hard for her to go down that path again. Charlee’s been afraid of relationships since a man ran a con on her to get to her inheritance. It’s been six years since he ripped apart her life, and she doesn’t believe she’ll ever be able to tr
