Sunday Spotlight

Image
This year we, myself along with  Born to Read Books  are doing a few new posts. I love changing things up and around. From now on Sunday's will be Sunday spotlight, where I will talk about all things books or share a book with you.  This week I want to talk about "Covers: Person vs Nature scene" Covers are a funny thing. You fall for them for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a hot guy on the cover and you just can't pass that up, others there are pretty flowers that make you feel happy.  As much as I love covers and have been known to pick a book because of it, as a whole they don't really matter to me. Unless...they are badly done. Some of the small press covers are bad. They'd be better off just using a field of flowers or a table set with dishes. I don't know, anything but that guy looks scary in a not hot scary way.  So what about you? What kind of cover lover are you?

WTF Friday

Image
This is something new we (myself along with  Born to Read Books ) are doing new this year. It's where we ask...wtf about something that's bothering us. Fun right! So here is what I want to talk about today. What the hell is with the small print in some paperback books? Why the hell do they make it so small that the only way to read it is by sunlight? I mean, come on!  Here you are trying to get into a book and the words are so small you don't really know what the author is saying, or writing in this case.  Are the publishers trying to save money on paper, or what? There has to be a good reason for this and I'd like to know because if people who are younger than myself have trouble seeing the print in normal light. I know, I had some look at it.  Share your thoughts!
