Feature Friday

Welcome back to #featurefriday. Here's the  link  to the schedule for our #featurefriday posts. Make sure to also visit  Cyndi @ Born to Read Books  she too does this post. This week is #ForFun! With summer right around the corner, I was wondering something. Do you take books with you on vacation? I always do. I even brought one, okay, maybe two, books with me when I went on vacation with my whole family. Which turned out to be a good thing since I was the first one up every day. I went through both books and could have most likely read another if I had it. I'd love to know your thoughts on this.

Review: No Escape from War by Cynthia Eden

Image
Revenge. Oh, it was going to be sweet. Warren “War” Channing finally has the chance to nail his beautiful, lying ex. And, no, he doesn’t mean “nail” in the down and dirty sexual way…War means he has the opportunity to send the lovely and infuriating Rose Shadow to jail. Turned out, the woman who had shattered his heart beneath her high-heeled shoes was wanted for murder. She was on the run, and he was just the man to hunt her down and toss her into the nearest cell…War could hardly wait. He was the last man she expected to need. The breakup had been ugly. Painful. It had ripped out her heart and left her in a sad, crying heap as she ate her ice cream, but Rose had moved the hell on, and she had sworn to never, ever need War again. Except, well, now she did need him and his sneaky skills because Rose was in trouble up to her eyes. The kind of trouble that could wreck a woman’s life. He’ll make her pay. Rose has cracked the story of a lifetime. She’s uncovered a brutal serial killer who

Review: The Summer Cottage by Annie Rains

Image
Somerset Lake is the perfect place for Trisha Langly and her son to start over. As the new manager for the Somerset Cottages, Trisha is instantly charmed by the property's elderly residents and her firecracker of a new boss, Vi Fletcher. But Trisha is less enchanted by Vi's protective grandson Jake. No matter how tempting she finds the handsome lawyer, Trisha knows that if Jake discovers the truth about her past, she'll lose the new life she's worked so hard to build. Jake Fletcher left Somerset Lake after a tragic loss, but he's returning for the summer to care for his beloved grandmother, hoping Vi will sell the run-down cottages and finally slow down. There's just one problem: Trisha, Vi's new employee. She's smart, beautiful, and kind, but Jake's job is to protect his grandmother's interests, and his gut is telling him Trisha's hiding something that could jeopardize Vi's future. However, as they spend summer days renovating the proper

Review: Crazy About a Cowboy by Dylann Crush

The little town of Ido, Texas, is up against some big competition. With the state tourism department on a search for the most romantic town in Texas, Ido is pulling out all the stops to win the title. Leading the effort is the newly appointed hospitality host Jasper Taylor. If he can secure the honor for Ido, he'll be able to hang onto his family's land. But when the reigning Miss Lovin' Texas and celebrity judge, Delilah Stone, rolls into town, she isn't exactly welcomed with open arms. Delilah's ready to put her beauty queen days behind her, and the only thing standing in her way is spending the next thirty days in Ido. It should be an easy gig, but someone in town is tired of all of the recent publicity. Somehow everything that ought to go right is suddenly going wrong. Now it's up to Jasper to convince Delilah to give Ido another chance by showing her just how romantic the small town can be...without losing his own heart in the process. I'm always so hap
