Feature Friday

Welcome back to #featurefriday. Here's the  link  to the schedule for our #featurefriday posts. Make sure to also visit  Cyndi @ Born to Read Books  she too does this post. This week is #freakout Today I'm sharing with you something that really freaks me out! Where are all my favorite authors going? In 2019 I couldn't keep up with everyone I loved to read. Too many authors and not enough time in the day. For 2020 things slowed down and I was okay with that. Figure with COVID we'd have fewer books coming out. So here we are in 2021 and I find myself having to find new authors.  In the last few years, I've gone down by at least 20 or so authors. It breaks my heart that I'm no longer reading them. I get it, some have moved on to women's fiction others have stopped writing totally. And so many I have no clue what's happened to them because they've just ghosted us.  Has this happened to any of you?

Review: Lover Unveiled by J. R. Ward

Sahvage has been living under the radar for centuries-and he has every intention of staying 'dead and buried.' But when a civilian female sucks him into her dangerous battle with an evil as ancient as time, his protective side overrides his common sense. Mae has lost everything, and desperation sets her on a collision course with fate. Determined to reverse a tragedy, she goes where mortals should fear to tread- and comes face to face with the Brotherhood's new enemy. She also discovers a love she never expected to find with Sahvage, but there can be no future for them. Knowing they will part, the two band together to fight against what Mae unknowingly unleashed- as the Brotherhood closes in to reclaim one of their damned, and the evil vows to destroy them all... I admit I'm not into vampires like I was. I don't read as many books with them in them anymore. I do have a few authors that I keep up with and Ward is one of them. Okay, keep up is stretching it a little b

Book Club Thursday

Welcome back to #BookClubThursday! So today for our free day I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. You'd think a free day where you can do whatever you'd like would be perfect. Well, it's not. In fact, it's stressful. Or at least it is for me. So I was thinking about a question that I asked Cyndi on our "Ask" post on Mondays. I asked her how she felt about Series books and if she liked them or was worried to start them because of no guarantee that they will continue and you want to get those characters' stories that you love. I'm sure we all have a series that abruptly stopped and left us hanging. I know for me there is Kresley Cole and her Immortals After Dark, but I also hate that I haven't had anything from Christine Warren's Alphaville series. I know she's alive because I've seen her comment on Twitter. I guess she just doesn't have time to update her readers.  I get that stuff happens. Publishers drop you, series fail for what

Review: Heart on a Leash by Alanna Martin

Taylor Lipin has made it her life's mission to leave her hometown and its ridiculous, century-old feud with the Porters behind. But when her sister needs help running the family inn, Taylor agrees to return to Helen, Alaska on a temporary, definitely not longer than two weeks, basis. Or so she thinks until she's quite literally swept off her feet and into enemy territory by three happy huskies and their drool-worthy owner, Dr. Josh Krane. Though Josh didn't grow up in Helen with the rest of his Porter cousins, he's heard the stories: Porters rescue huskies. The Lipins are cat people. Keep to your pack. But Taylor is too tempting to give up—plus, his dogs love her. As Taylor and Josh grow closer, tensions in the town escalate and the need for secrecy starts taking a toll. Soon they'll need to decide whether their newfound love is just a summer fling or if they've found their forever home. The reason I picked this one is the cover. I saw it and knew that I wanted

Welcome back to #featurefriday. Here's the  link  to the schedule for our #featurefriday posts. Make sure to also visit  Cyndi @ Born to Read Books  she too does this post. This week is #ForFun! I'll start it off, Which book was turned into a movie did you like and which did you hate? Love or really liked: Night Sins, which the book is written by Tami Hoag. I really thought they kept pretty close to the book. I didn't even feel like yelling at the tv ones.  Now to hate. This one still sticks with me. It's called Rose Hill. The book is called For the Roses by Julie Garwood. I enjoy it and the other books that went with it. I HATED Rose Hill! Spent the whole time yelling at the TV. It was so bad that I couldn't watch anything with Jennifer Gardner until a year or so ago. I can really hold a grudge  Anyone watch either of them?
