Review: The Matchmaker's Mistletoe Mission by Jaci Burton

Image
Stranded at the Red Moss Vineyard a week before her best friend's wedding, LA native and professional matchmaker Alice Weatherford is not pleased with her first trip to Oklahoma, or the epic snowstorm forcing her to stay. So much for Christmas cheer. What she needs is a project, something to distract her...and, oh, has she found one in neighboring rancher Clay Henry. Gorgeous, charming, and unlike any other man she's ever met, finding the right woman for Clay should be easy.... Having grown up with the Bellini sisters, it's no hardship for Clay to ride out the storm at their cozy family vineyard, especially since that means spending time with their savvy and smart houseguest. But despite Alice’s best efforts, he's not the least bit interested in her matchmaking.... Alice is the only woman Clay wants. Now he just has to convince the matchmaker herself to give love a chance. I'm always excited when an author starts a new series. And this year we got two new ones

Review: Azagoth by Larissa Ione

Image
He holds the ability to annihilate souls in the palm of his hand. He commands the respect of the most dangerous of demons and the most powerful of angels. He can seduce and dominate any female he wants with a mere look. But for all Azagoth’s power, he’s bound by shackles of his own making, and only an angel with a secret holds the key to his release. She’s an angel with the extraordinary ability to travel through time and space. An angel with a tormented past she can’t escape. And when Lilliana is sent to Azagoth’s underworld realm, she finds that her past isn’t all she can’t escape. For the irresistibly sexy fallen angel known as Azagoth is also known as the Grim Reaper, and when he claims a soul, it’s forever… I'm not sure why I haven't yet reviewed this book. I read it at the beginning of the year and I know that Reaper is coming out soon so thought I'd better get on it.  I really love Azagoth. I feel bad for him because you can tell he's not happy. This is

Sunday Spotlight

Image
This year myself along with  Born to Read Books   are doing a few new posts. I love changing things up and around. From now on Sunday's will be Sunday spotlight, where I will talk about all things books or share a book with you. You get the idea! Let's talk about favorite authors!  I will start out sharing with you my favorite at the moment authors with you for the romance genre's I read. I have a ton of favorite and my favorites authors usually change when I reading and loving one of their books.  For historical it's Lynsay Sands. Love her writing. Contemporaries it's Annie Rains. She's a newer author for me and I'm just loving her books. Romantic suspense it would have to be Cynthia Eden. Her books rock. And for paranormal it's Shelly Laurenston. She's been a favorite for a long time.  Please share with us some of your favorite authors.

Review: The Marriage Charm by Linda Lael Miller

Image
The women of Bliss County have a pact—to find husbands. The right husbands. One already has: Hadleigh Stevens, who married rancher Tripp Galloway a few months ago. Now Melody Nolan thinks it's her turn. Melody has recently found success as a jewelry designer, and her work is the focus of her life. She's not exactly unhappy, but she wants more. She's always been attracted to Spence Hogan, the local chief of police, but she's convinced that Spence, a notorious charmer, isn't what you'd call husband material. Spence is a good cop who isn't scared of anything—except love. And he's done everything he can to preserve his reputation as a womanizer—a reputation that keeps marriage-minded women, including Melody, at bay. And yet…there's something about Melody he can't forget. Something his heart can't ignore. I love Miller's books. For me, they are part of my comfort reads. Those authors that you know will give you a good story without ove

Friday Favorites

Image
So as you can see I've added something a little different this year. On Friday Favorites I'll be talking about book-related issues that are favorites of mine.  Remember I do this along with my BFF  @ Born to Read Books I love sharing with you guys books that I read in the past that I just loved. This time I want to share a book with you by Johanna Lindsey that I loved. It's called Warrior's Woman. I can still remember when it first came out and I read it. It was published in 1990. That's was a long time ago. It was a little different at the time. It was like a mashup of historical and futuristic. I enjoyed all three books in the series. Don't you love the old cover! So, any of you read Warrior's Woman? Are you a fan of Johanna Lindsey or haven't yet tried her books? I would suggest you get to it.
