Let's Talk About

This year I want to do a new post on Fridays where we can discuss a particular book, author, or anything I can come up with. This week I talked about authors who seem to write the small story over and over again. I hope to hear your thoughts.

Have you ever read any authors who does this

I have. I think when you read as many books and for as long as I have you run into this with your favorite authors. I think part of it is that authors like reading know what they love about reading and write what they love. It's one of the reasons I try not to read one author back to back. You can often see the sameness when you do. 

Does it bother you if they do

For me no. Have I ever thought to myself that this kind of seems like their last book? Sure. Heck, I've even read authors whose characters I swear are named the same as one they used in a prior book. Thankfully I was too lazy to check. 

Have you ever stopped reading an author who does this

No! I understand that there are only so many plots to write about plus when you really love an author it's most likely because of how they write. As for reasons to stop reading an author, this isn't one of them for me.
