Reread Book Review: Not Another Bad Date by Rachel Gibson

WHAT DOES A GAL HAVE TO DO TO GET A GOOD DATE IN THIS TOWN?
Adele Harris can't even begin to answer that question. She's had so many lousy dates that she's sure she's cursed. Why else would every man she goes out with suddenly act like he's lost his mind--and his manners? Adele thought life couldn't get any more confusing . . . until she learns the marriage of her seemingly Miss Perfect sister is on the rocks. So she goes back to their hometown to give her a shoulder to cry on, only to run smack into Zach Zemaitis . . . the one who got away.

TEXANS LOVE GOD, FAMILY, AND FOOTBALL, THOUGH NOT ALWAYS IN THAT ORDER
Zach, a former pro star, knows all about football. As for the other two, well, he's doing his best. But when Adele comes charging back into his life--still all lush curves and beautiful, big blue eyes--he wonders if his best is good enough. After all, he did her wrong. Can a woman with her track record ever really believe that he's serious this time . . . or is he destined to be another bad date?
I love rereading. I find that I can read the story much faster the second or third (you get the idea) I think that has to do with the fact that you already know what's going to happen and can skim through parts you don't want to read.

My big problem with reading is doing it out of order. I had to fight not to look for the first title in this series so that I could read them in order.

Rereading Not Another Bad Date was so much fun. I really enjoyed it and as a reader, I remembered how much I liked reading Rachel Gibson and miss her romance books. What I loved about this one is the added fact of the ghost. Yes, you don't see her often but you know what she's up to.

This is a second chance romance between Adele and Zach.

This time around the romance is more about sex than it is about a relationship. I totally get it. Adele doesn't want to be hurt again. You don't really blame her. She's busy taking care of her sister and her niece. You kinda understand why she doesn't want to start a relationship with someone when she doesn't even live in the same town.

I also understood why Zach would shy away from another relationship. He has a young daughter that he is taking care of plus his marriage had never been a good one. It's hard to trust when all you were was a bank for the person you married.

It might have taken these two a while to figure out they are meant to be together but they finally do and you can't be happy for them. I'm also glad the ghost got a clue too. You'll have to read it to understand why I'm saying that. I'm so glad that I took the time to reread this and plan to find the other books in the series and read them too. Have any of you read her?
