ARC Review: Munro by Kresley Cole

TORMENTED IN UNIMAGINABLE WAYS

Coming off torture at the hands of his warlock captors, Munro MacRieve never expected to find his mate, or to lose her just as abruptly. Driven to desperation, the ruthless warrior uses his enemies’ own powers to reunite with her—in the distant past.

STOLEN FROM HER TIME

When a crazed werewolf crashes her wedding, Kereny “Ren” Codrina does what any cunning huntress would do: she captures him. Yet she finds herself softening toward the wounded beast—until he turns the tables and forces her into an incomprehensible future.

CAN A HUMAN AND AN IMMORTAL UNITE IN ORDER TO SURVIVE?

As danger mounts, Munro will do anything to make her undying, even sell his soul to an evil sorceress. But first he must convince his fiery mate that she belongs with him. If seduction means her survival, Munro will use every weapon in his arsenal to possess her—forever.
Oh boy, it was a long wait for Munro. I know like all of us that love her Immortals After Dark series have been eagerly waiting for the next book in the case Munro to come out. Well, we don't have to wait any longer than 1/25/22!

Believe me when I saw that the wait might have been long but not to worry to the story is out of this world. You won't be able to not love Munro. I'm going to say he's one of my favorite characters of hers but that always changes with each new book.

Throughout the story, he does push his own agenda but you understand why. There is so much about him that's very complex. It's one of the things I really like about him is his layers. Your heart will break when you learn about his human son. So much sadness in his past. Some you've learned about when and if you read his brother's book but in this one, you learn his personal heartache.

I will admit that I wasn't always a fan of Ren. Even when I understood her feelings. What can I say I love me a hero. You get how she feels about having her life taken out of her hands. She does get tunnel vision at times but I'm thinking we all can understand that. Her feels are so conflicted when she thinks about Munro.

So much happens in the story that I'd love to talk to you about but I don't want to ruin anything for you. You really need to read it for yourself. I will say that one of my favorite scenes is not with either Ren or Munro. It's with Nix, a bunch of young witches, and Bertil. It's a hoot.

So many of our favorite characters from prior books are in Munro and Cole gave us a glimpse of what and whos to come and it's going to be wonderful!!! I wish I could tell you more but again, you need to read it for yourself. I have to admit I felt so many emotions during the story and I think you'll understand why. So yes you can read this one without reading the prior books but why would you? You've got time to great them all read. Believe me, you'll want to read them all. Any of you read her books?

  1. I am so happy that we have this author writing again, and I know she has had a rough few years so glad things are better for her now that she can write again. I always loved Monroe.
