Review: True Love Cowboy by Jennifer Ryan

Jon Crawford has returned to Montana, determined to take over his father’s ranch and raise his daughter in Big Sky Country, leaving the big-city life behind once and for all. He doesn’t have time to fall in love, but he doesn’t count on stubborn but beautiful Trinity McGrath, who arouses his protective instincts even as she tries to push him away.

Life hasn’t always been easy for Trinity, but now she has everything she needs—her family, friends, and a safe and secure life. With a business to build, Trinity doesn’t have time for romance…until Jon comes barging into her life and all her intentions are turned upside down!

Still, an attraction like theirs is too powerful to deny, and sometimes true love comes along when you least expect it. But when someone from Jon's past comes back with a vengeance, Trinity and Jon will have to do everything they can to save themselves and their new love...
Once of the things I love about reading a Jennifer Ryan book is the easiness you have getting into the story. Usually from the first chapter I get pulled in and want to know more. The second best thing about her books are her heroes. They just rock. You can't help loving the caring, loving alpha men. They would do anything for the people they love.

This book is such an emotional roller coaster of a ride. You will go from happy to pissed off to a little scared as you read it.

I totally love Emma. she might be a young kid but she knew right away that her mom isn't a good person or a good mom either. She's much smarter than the adults on this. She knew she shouldn't be left alone with the woman.

I totally understand that Jon is doing the best he can. But come on, he's got money it's time to throw a little at his lawyer to do their job. He kind of dragged his feet on how to handle his kids mom. I get that the second he got home he found out his father had fallen ill and was thrown for a loop. I also know that he seemed to want the best for his daughter and felt having both parents in her life was the way to go. Sadly, that doesn't always work.

I totally love Trinity. If you've read the prior books to this series you know what happened to her. This is why you should always read them in order.

She's had it hard for the last year or so but she's also had wonderful things happen too. Her business is going crazy good and has taken off in a big way. I know it's only fiction but I was so happy for them. Shows how we become so invested in these characters.

As a whole this is a great story with so much going on within it. I really came to love the characters and enjoyed their story. Since the author is moving on the another family after this it means that we are doing with the McGrath family for now. You never know what the future will hold. So, do any of you read her?

  1. Great review you have here. It looks like we had similar thoughts on this book here. I love the style of this author's writing soon. She is so wonderful right? I didn't understand why the hero waited on taking action on his ex either because that ending ....she is crazy haha

    1. She was totally nuts. I was so mad at him. She really lost it in the end.

  2. I've only read a couple of her books but this sounds like one that I might like too.
