Review: Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs by Annie Rains

If Lacy Shaw could have one wish, it's that the past would stay in the past. And with her high school reunion coming up, she has no intention of reliving the worst four years of her life. Especially when all she has to show for the last decade is how the shy bookworm blossomed into...the shy town librarian. Ditching the event seems the best option until a blistering hot alternative roars into Lacy's life. Perhaps riding into the reunion on the back of Paris Montgomery's motorcycle will show her classmates how much she really has changed...

While growing up as a foster kid, Paris Montgomery only felt at home in Sweetwater Springs, which is why he picked the small town to start over after his divorce. He can't afford to ruin this refuge with another doomed relationship - especially one with a woman who is his total opposite. But when the town's sweet librarian offers to help him reconnect with his foster dad, he finds they have more in common than he thought. Both are about to discover that home is where the heart is.
I'm so happy that I started reading Annie Rains' Sweetwater Springs series. I really have been enjoying it. I truly love when authors add novella's to tide us over till their next mass-market book comes out. It makes the wait much more bearable.

I've been waiting for Paris's story since he first walked into the series. He's one of those characters that draws you to them and you want to know more about them. I kinda wish his story wasn't so short but I'm happy that the author did a wonderful job of it.

I might have wanted more, but didn't feel like I missed out on anything.

Paris comes over as this super-tough guys that you might think twice about talking too. Turns out he's a sweetie at heart. One that gets talked into teaching a computer class he didn't want to teach. In so many ways his back story is sad but it also made him the man he is today. With the help of some certain people.

I totally love Lacy. I felt for her. Feeling like you don't matter or aren't as good as others because you were picked on as a child is tough. She is a wonderful person who deserves all the happiness in the world. She also needs a tough, sexy guy to make sure she never gets picked on again.

These two just work! I love how they act together and I'm glad that Paris took a leap of faith and went with his heart even when I was, let's face it, scared. I'm so glad that I read Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs. Now all I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Snowfall on Cedar Trail which is out on 10/8/19. You have enough time to start reading this series and getting caught up.

Have you read her? If so which is your favorite book or series?
