WTF Friday
This is something new we (myself along with Born to Read Books) are doing this year. It's where we ask...wtf about something that's bothering us. Fun right! So here is what I want to talk about today.
What happened to all the Christmas books?
Now don't get me wrong I know each year there are books written about the holiday. But I noticed lately that they barely mention the holidays it's more of an afterthought. So you buy a book thinking you'll get a holiday story and the only talk about the holidays is on page 4 when the hero or heroine are thinking about how it went. Went!!! Like in the past tense, already happened! To me, that's not a holiday book.
I can remember years back when I'd have a pile next to my couch ready to be read starting on Thanksgiving night. I would arrange them in order of what I wanted to read, leaving the best for Christmas Eve.
Now, of course, with my blog, I read most of my holiday books in September/October. I use to buy a few others to read but lately...nothing.
Here I am wondering...have you noticed that there are less holiday-themed books to read or is it only me?
