Review & Giveaway Tour: The Rock by Jennifer Bernard

Today we have the release week blitz for Jennifer Bernard’s The Rock! Check it out and be sure to grab your copy today!

As the owner of Rocky Peak’s favorite bar, easygoing Jake Rockwell is everyone’s rock and best friend. But now he needs serious help from the gorgeous and fierce investigator Olivia James—and it’s going to kill him to keep things strictly professional between them.

It’s been a long, hard-fought battle to go from naĂ¯ve ex-trophy wife to respected private investigator, but Olivia has done it. She now offers her services only to women in need…but she’s made an exception for a friend. Which might possibly be the biggest mistake of her life, since Jake is as maddening as he is charming…and thoughtful…and insanely hot.

The closer they work together and the more Rockwell family secrets they expose, the harder it is for Olivia and Jake to resist their sizzling connection. But their burning almost-romance is about to go up in flames as they uncover the final revelation that could blow Jake’s world apart—forever.

I can't believe we are at the final book in the Rockwell Legacy series. I want to start off and say how well the author ended it. She tied everything together for you in a neat little bow. I finished feeling totally happy about what I just read.

That was until I remembered it was the last book in the series. Then I had to shed a tear. Ha! I'm sure many of you understand how I'm feeling. It's like moving away from old friends. Of course, we now get to wait and see what she's coming up with new.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Jake and Olivia are my favorite couple of the series. Something about them just made me happy. I really love how they interacted with each other. You could see and almost feel how they felt about each other right off the pages. Sometimes characters are just perfect for each other and make the story and these two are it.

In fact, there are times that the mystery came second to them for me. See, I told you I loved them. Now don't get me wrong I wanted to know what happened but for the most part, I had that somewhat figured by mid-book. Maybe not the who but what happened. Didn't stop me from enjoying the story but left me time to really enjoy Jake and Olivia.

I was really glad this family got the answers that they wanted, no needed to move on with their lives fully. This family would make for a cute Christmas story somewhere down the line. I'd love to hear how they are all doing.

You have to give it to an author who can keep you invested in a family or group of people even when you are no longer reading about them.

I want to make sure you guys understand that this series really should be read in order. It works better with the family mystery. Since all the books are very easy to read and get into they will make for the perfect series to lay around the pool with.

So, have any of you read her before? If so, which of her books or series is your favorite?
