WTF Friday
This is something new we (myself along with Born to Read Books) are doing new this year. It's where we ask...wtf about something that's bothering us. Fun right! So here is what I want to talk about today.
What the hell is with the small print in some paperback books? Why the hell do they make it so small that the only way to read it is by sunlight? I mean, come on!
Here you are trying to get into a book and the words are so small you don't really know what the author is saying, or writing in this case.
Are the publishers trying to save money on paper, or what? There has to be a good reason for this and I'd like to know because if people who are younger than myself have trouble seeing the print in normal light. I know, I had some look at it.

I don't have an issue with it but more than likely its just a way to make more money. I wish they would make it so paperbacks were easier to read in a way that doesn't damage the spine so much. I see some publishers doing it and others not.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. You don't want to open it so much that the spine cracks. I will say one of the best publishers for me is Avon Books. They always have good print size.
DeleteGood question. I have to use my reading glasses all the time when I read now.
ReplyDeleteI use mine too but sometimes you will get that one book that even with glasses it's hard to read.
