Sunday Spotlight

This year we, myself along with Born to Read Books are doing a few new posts. I love changing things up and around. From now on Sunday's will be Sunday spotlight, where I will talk about all things books or share a book with you.

This week I want to talk to you about "binge reading"

I will admit that I can binge TV shows like no tomorrow. In fact I do it often on the weekends if we have no plans. I sit on the couch (with my book of course) and start the TV and don't leave until I have too.

But when it comes to books I'm not often a binge reader and I'll tell you why. Mainly because authors like all of us like special sayings or things we like to do. So when you binge a  author's series you might find that they author say likes...small dogs and the next thing you know that every hero and heroine couple seem to have a small dog. Or they like tuna and in every book they eat tuna.

Now I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that. All I'm saying is that if you don't read the books back-to-back that kind of thing doesn't bother you. But when you do...it's like...get a new thought!

So here's my confessions, I really don't do binge reading, or at least I didn't until I read Stacy Finz's Nugget series. For some reason I just needed to read all of them and that's just what I did. I sat down and read the whole series. 10 books, 1 novella.

I glad I did it but I'm not sure I could do it again. What about you? Are you a binge reader?

    1. I've never been a fan of doing it but still found myself reading a whole series.

  2. If I find a series that's been around for a while and like the first book, I will sometime binge read the entire series.

    1. Fun! Yeah it's best to binge when you have a ton of the books in the series to read.
