He was a shadow, ever shifting and insinuating, able to blend in everywhere and anywhere. The elusive ideal conceived and created by the Genetics Council, he went by just as many names as he had identities—the last one being Gideon.

Now calling himself Graeme, he hides in plain sight, terrifyingly close to his goal. A rogue Bengal Breed, he is loyal to no one but himself. And he has a need for vengeance that surges hot and swift through his veins.

Graeme plans to wage an extreme and ruthless vendetta against those who wronged him — Breed and human alike. All will suffer his wrath: those who created him, those who pretended to love him, and those who betrayed him. This includes the one at the center of it all: a seductive, enigmatic woman helpless against the man whose desire is just as desperate as his need to destroy. And he’s tracking her scent...

I truly can't believe how many books I've read in this series, Goodreads says this is #21 but I don't think they are adding in everything. I know for some people they are like 'enough already, move on to something new!' but for me every character is building on a foundation of the main story. They keep adding to it and it keeps growing and filling out.

I really do love a good series!

The Breed series is one of those that keeps growing and filling out. Each book moves you along just enough to keep you coming back but also gives you a wonderful story too. I totally loved Graeme! He reminds me so much of Jonas (who's my all time favorite) he's got his hands everywhere and no one knows what he's up to.

This one really broke me heart. I hated what Catarina went through. It was terrible. Not just the physical, I'm talking the mental and emotional. Sure, I get that all the breeds suffered but for some reason when I read this one it just hit me.

The complicated relationship between Graeme and Catarina is what makes the story. They keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next and how would they handle it. With these two love and hate are the two sides of the same coin.

Because of all that above the story is so layered and wonderful. I couldn't put it down and I'm so glad I read it.

So if you haven't yet tried the breed series you really should. Do yourself a favor and read it in order. It works much better that way. It's summer, you have the time.

If you've read Bengal's Quest or any other book by Lora Leigh I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading! ♡
