Spirit Bound
Sea Haven/Sisters of my Heart #2
Christine Feehan
December 27 2011
Jove
Pages: 404
Format Read: Paperback
Source: Purchased

Lethal undercover agent Stefan Prakenskii knew a thousand ways to kills a man—and twice as many ways to pleasure a woman. That’s what made him look forward to his new mission: arrive in the coastal town of Sea Haven and insinuate himself in the life of an elusive beauty who had mysterious ties to his past, and a link to a dangerously seductive, and equally elusive master criminal who wanted only one thing: to possess her.

Judith Henderson was an artist on the rise—an ethereal, and haunted woman whose own picture-perfect beauty stirred the souls of two men who have made her their obsession. For years she has been waiting for someone to come and unlock the passion and fire within her—waiting for the right man to surrender it to. But only one man can survive her secrets, and the shadow she has cast over both their lives.

You don't know how many times I picked this book up to read it and read only a few pages then put it down again. I did this maybe five times. I just couldn't get into it. Since I love Christine Feehan's books and haven't really found one that I hated I knew it had to be me and not the book.

Which is the reason I kept picking it up again. I knew if I just got through the first few chapters then I could read it.

For a long time it didn't happen.

I just forgot about it and moved on. But this year I decided to my Feehan one of my catch up authors and I knew I had to start with Spirit Bound.

So that's just what I did. I picked it up and read. Once I got past the first few pages I was able to get into it. Not only did I get into it I found that the story moved quickly. No clue what happened before because this time I was loving it.

We've been in love with the Prakenskii brothers since we met Ilya in Turbulent Sea. It's book #6 of the Drake Sister series.

With the first book in this new series Water Bound you kinda get the idea this new series will have the brothers in it. You learned before how many brothers there are in the series.

Spirit Bound is so good. The story moves fast and at first you aren't sure if you can trust Stefan. What are his motives? Pretty fast you figure that out. You feel for Judith and all that she went through in her past.

As a whole this story is very good and worth the read. Hopefully you won't have as much trouble getting into as I did. I will tell you that I really think you should read the Drake sisters series first before starting this series. It will make this series better, fuller. With out with reading it you'll still enjoy this series.

If you've read Spirit Bound or any other book by Christine Feehan I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading! ♡

    1. I'm trying to be much better this year getting caught up. Last year I was bad at it.

  2. I am so glad that you decided to pick this book up again. Some books are like that right? Where you have to read to a certain length before you get into it. It would be nice if we could just jump right in at the first page.

    1. I agree with you. There is just something about certain books that you have wade into them before you really get into the story. This was one of them for me. Since I knew it was a author I already liked I'd be trying it again. Someone new might not have been so lucky.
