Then Came You
Animal Magnetism #5
Jill Shalvis
7/1/14
Berkley
Pages: 304
Format Read: Paperback
Source: Purchased

Veterinary intern Emily can’t believe she wound up in the small town of Sunshine, Idaho, instead of the Los Angeles clinic she had always imagined. Now she has to put her plans to move to L.A. on hold for a whole year while she fulfills the obligation of her vet school scholarship.

Then Wyatt, her gorgeous one-night stand from a Reno vet conference, introduces himself as her new boss. And Emily is just as drawn to his seductive looks and quiet strength as she was on that very steamy night. She soon learns that Wyatt isn’t just a laid-back doctor, but a delicious alpha male tempting her away from her carefully laid-out plans...

I really didn't think I'd ever do the Trifecta Books (sounds, cover and title must all …be cute/sexy /etc) challenge. I mean it would really have to be those three things at the same time for me to do it and it's very subjective. So I just went along and did whatever challenges that worked for me when it finally happened, the trifecta book!

I know...I was shocked too!

But it indeed happened. I was very pleasantly surprised. I love the idea of meeting up with what you truly believed would be a one-night-stand. Just think about it. How crazy would that be? And many be a little embarrassing too.

To round up the trifecta is the cover and title. I really loved both. The cover with the couple and dog works for the story and the title...speaks for itself.

All three things worked perfectly for this book. I'm so glad to have finally read it. Yes finally, did you see how behind I've become on this series? I'm so naughty. Not to worry I'm trying to catch up.

I really loved both Wyatt & Emily. Both are really good people with a few issues. Well, Emily have the majority of those issues but that didn't stop us from liking her, only made us feel sad for her at times.

Emily loves being a vet but her main goal is to make money, lots of it. That's why she wants to work in Beverly Hills, not Idaho! But you have to do what you have to do especially when someone else pays for your scholarship.

Now don't judge her harshly until you read the story there is much more to it then just wanting to make money to be rich, that doesn't even factor in to it. Like I said you really have to read it and learn much more about her.

It will take Emily a little while to realize what is the most important thing in her life but she will.

I really loved Wyatt! He's a great character, you'll also love his crazy family! His sisters scare me. Not sure I really like his parents though. Not what I'd call overly loving. But besides that he grew up being a caring, loving person.

This is such a good story. One that I was very happy to read. I really enjoyed it and was glad to have been back in Sunshine, Idaho. There are only two more books in this series and I can't wait to read them too!

If you've read Then Came You or any other book by Jill Shalvis I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading! ♡

    1. It was just pure luck. I picked this book for another challenge and decided it worked for this one instead.
