Maybe This Kiss
A Colorado Ice Novella
Jennifer Snow
Forever Yours
November 1st

Love is always worth the risk . . .

Neil Healy was happy to be promoted to Air Force Lieutenant, but he's less than thrilled that the new job has brought him back to his hometown. The memories alone could kill a man, to say nothing of actually seeing the woman he never got over. Neil knew avoiding Becky Westmore would be impossible, but he didn't expect the chemistry between them to be as strong as ever.

All Becky wants this holiday season is to get through the month of December with her sanity intact. Not helping? Her ex-boyfriend's return to Glenwood Falls. Even after a decade apart, Neil still makes her feel in ways no other man has. But Christmas is a time for miracles, and maybe Becky's will be a second chance at first love.

When I started out looking for a book for this months challenge I kinda knew what book I was going to pick but didn't know which challenge I was going to use it for. I think it took me longer to figure that out, then read the book. Sounds silly now but at the time it was a life and death decision.

I can honestly say that I'm not sure how I felt about this book. I know that sounds crazy but it's how I felt. At times I loved Becky, and at other times she got on my nervous to the point I wanted to stop reading the story. At other times I understood what she was feeling. I just kept jumping from one feeling to the next.

I started out the story really liking Neil and being on his side against how Becky felt, but as the book went on I flip sides. Of course this happen more then once. My neck hurt by the time I was done with this story and it wasn't that long.

As I read the story I wasn't sure I wanted to read another by this author. I felt it was too much petty drama for such a short story, but as the story progressed I did start getting into it more. I can't say this one is a favorite of mine. I will try the next book in the series because I like the sound of this series. Fingers crossed I like it more.

If you've read Maybe This Kiss or any other book by Jennifer Snow I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading! ♡

  1. Oh hopefully the next will work for you. Novellas are so hard and wow that's a lot of back and forth in such a short time!

    1. It was overly busy. I will try the next just in case it was only the novella.
