But behind every flirtatious smile, each provocative quip, there’s a secret that Lincoln’s hiding from even his closest friends—a tragedy from his past that holds his heart quietly captive. Lincoln knows what he wants: someone like Daisy Sinclair, the sassy, off-limits bridesmaid he can’t take his eyes off at his best friend’s wedding. He also knows that she’s everything he can never have.

After a devastating divorce, Daisy doesn’t need anyone to warn her off the charming best man at her sister’s wedding. One look at the breathtakingly hot Lincoln Mathis and she knows that he’s exactly the type of man she should avoid. From the second Lincoln walked into my life I knew I needed to know more about him. There was just something about him. I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to learn about the real Lincoln.

Each book he was in I really thought I learn more about him, till I read the next book and thought to myself that I didn't know him at all. Then it happened, Layne wrote his story and I couldn't wait to read. I picked it up and just sat there and looked at it, days passed and I just couldn't read it.

I was just so worried that I wouldn't like the real Lincoln. Since he was the hero of the story I knew that I wouldn't hate him, but what if I didn't like him either.

Finally I had no choice what with this review coming up and finally started the book. At first I got into it right away, I really liked Daisy and thought she was pretty much perfect for him. The two of them add so much to the other. They balanced each other out.

As the book went on it moved very quick and I just feel in love with Lincoln even more after learn about his past. But after awhile he let his past totally interfer with his furture and I was getting a little tired of it.

Soon he got his act together and there was nothing but happiness to follow. It wasn't until I was finished with the book that it hit me...my love affair with Lincoln was over. I just can't be a cheater. I know in time another character will call to me like Lincoln did. It might be a character written by Layne or someone else.

I can't wait...
