Read a Book You Bought For the Cover or Title Alone

A Viking's Peace
Vikings in Space #1
Zoe York
11/26/14

Thrown together in an intergalactic diplomatic mission, Reinn and Ashleigh know they must fight the burning attraction between them.

But this Viking has finally found his mate in the beautiful Earth officer, and nothing else matters.

I will admit that this post/challenge was harder then I thought it would be. I mean how easy is it to pick a book to read that you bought either for it's cover or title? I'm here to say that it's hard as hell!!!

As I went looking for a book to read for this challenge I kept picking this one, then figuring that one would fit the challenge better. I must have done this a hundred times.

At one point I didn't care any more what I picked. Or at least I thought I didn't until I started reading something and got into it about a quarter of the way and thought to myself that the other book would have been better.

Finally I saw the title of this one and remember that when I got it I was in a viking mood! It happens to me sometimes! Plus add the space part and I was hooked. Or should have been it's been sitting on my ereader since it came out,

I have way to many books to read!

I've never read Zoe York before so I couldn't wait to try A Viking's Peace ( I know, it' took me forever to read it so that couldn't wait part is kind of a lie). The story is only about 85 pages or so, a very quick read. This story is a mixed bag, you have sci-fi and erotica mixed together. All of which I really enjoy.

I liked both Ashleigh & Reinn and the whole idea of the story. It read well and quickly locks you into the story. I guess my only complaint about it and it's not a big one is that it's so short. I think the characters would have benefited from a longer story. You would have really gotten to know them.

Other then that it was enjoyable to read and made me wonder about the other books in the series. The cover for the second book, A Viking Bride looks really good (I mean hot!!!)

If you've read A Viking's Peace or any other book by Zoe York I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!

  4. LOL I totally get picking this one up from the title/cover. It's got me curious! But I also buy pretty much all of my books (other than series I already read) based on cover. lol
