Tonio knows that loneliness is the price he has to pay to avoid being hurt again. But the strictly by-the-book cop never expected to be blindsided by a woman who pulls him right out of his self-imposed isolation.

Angel Silva isn’t just from the wrong side of the tracks—she’s on the wrong side of the law. She’s desperate to break free from her dangerous brother and his gang, but when a sexy new recruit joins them, Angel is more trapped than ever—because the ruthless Tonio Reyes isn’t what he seems. When she discovers the man she’s falling for is one of Sugarland’s finest, she’s forced to go on the run.

Instead of taking Angel into custody, Tonio finds himself risking his career to keep her safe. And as the beautiful woman tears down all his defenses, Tonio realizes he’ll risk his very life to set her free.

Like the books before it, On the Run is so good! I really loved it. I love the way Davis creates characters that are so flawed, yet hero's or heroine's at the same time. They feel real!

I was so looking forward to Tonio's story. He's the type of characters that draws you to him, you want to know more about him and oh boy did we learn a ton. He's such a good, sweet person. He'd need someone really special to be his match!

At first I was sure if Angel was going to be that person but quickly figured out that they are perfect together. Even with her crap childhood she's really a good person herself.

Together they have to fight for what's right, and they do just that with so many bumps in their roads. From the first page you'll be hooked and not want to put it down. You also get a brief visit from Howard which for you guys might not mean anything but for me means a lot.

Love Howard!

You also get a glimpse to what's going on with Clay.  Some good news, and some not so good. We still have to worry some about him.

If you've read On the Run or any other of Jo Davis books I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!

    1. Love Howard. He is my man. She's one of the authors I promised myself I'd get caught up on. One more book to go.

    1. She's very good. It's best to read them in order and start with the firemen. So good!
