Review: When Snowflakes Fall & Like Fresh Fallen Snow by Tara Wyatt

When Snowflakes Fall
The Grayson's #1

Sometimes the heart needs a little Christmas magic.

When Dr. Christie Harmon up and moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming to escape a vicious scandal, she expected a quiet, lonely Christmas on-call as the new pediatrician at the local hospital. But when she’s treating a little boy with a bump on the head, she doesn’t expect his dad to be so distractedly handsome…or single.

In the wake of his ex-wife’s abandonment five years ago, Luke Grayson has been focused on raising his son Ethan. The scars from the split run deep, and Luke hasn’t trusted another woman to come into their lives. But there’s something about the sweet—and sexy—doctor that has him wondering if something’s been missing.

Can new love help lonely hearts find a way? After all, Christmas is a time for magic…

There is nothing I like better then reading quick novella's at the holidays. I'm so happy to be able to tell you about When Snowflakes Fall by Tara Wyatt. It's the first in her Grayson's series and happens around Christmas.

One of my biggest turn-on's is single fathers. There is just something about a man stepping up and being both mother and father that really gets me every time.

Luke Grayson is just they type of single father that you want to hitch your wagon to. He's a great dad and really puts his son first. Of course he does need a little adult time which is where Christie comes in

You can tell right away that these two work. It's also sweet how she like his son, Ethan.

I really loved this sweet, fun story. I was thrilled that the author spent most of her time on the relationship between Luke & Christie and not what happened in their past. That for the most part was left in the past.

Everyone needs a New Years’ kiss.

Ellie Richards’ New Year’s Resolution: this will be her year, no men necessary. Who needs them when she has a successful website, a great apartment, and plans to ring in the New Year at a ski lodge with her best friend? That’s until Ellie gets stuck in a snowbank and a gorgeous, blue-eyed cop throws a wrench in her plans.

Matt Grayson intended to spend his last day of the year getting everything ready for his move across the country. But when he helps dig Ellie’s car out from the side of the road, something about this cute blonde who spews out pop culture references makes Matt wish he didn’t have to leave the next day.

When fate brings Ellie and Matt together that same night at a party, the sizzling tension between them bubbles like a bottle of champagne. As midnight looms closer, their time together grows shorter. Is their budding romance doomed to be nothing but a night of memories, or can it survive the changes the new year will bring?

You meet Matt in Luke's story, When Snowflakes Fall and learn they are twins. You also learn that Luke is moving away soon. Which makes you wonder who Wyatt has planned for him. I have to say I liked what she did.

Poor Luke finds the girl of his dreams days before moving to Seattle. Just his luck!! You quickly see what she's the girl of his dreams. These to are like one whole person. They get each other.

Where as how Luke's story is at Christmas time, Matt's is on and around New Year's eve. How romantic!

I loved these two together and really wanted them to work. Their story is very quick, but sometimes in like that happens. You will want these two to work!

Both stories worked for me. I really like these Grayson's, and can't wait for the next story which is out in June 2017. Both stories are short, less then 100 pages so you should have any trouble reading both of them in one day. I might not have read a ton of Tara Wyatt's books but she's now on my auto-buy list.

If you've read either story or anything else by Tara Wyatt I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!
