Review & Giveaway: So Good by Darcy Burke

Cameron Westcott has spent eight years recovering from heartbreak by keeping romantic entanglements casual and simple. He’s never minded being called a manwhore, but after two years immersing himself in his new winery, he might be ready for the next chapter. Especially when he meets a sexy wine distributor—only she says she isn’t interested.

Following a bitter divorce, Brooke Ellis relocated to Ribbon Ridge to rebuild her life. Things will never be the same for her, and she’s coming to terms with that reality when she meets charming, persistent Cam. She can’t imagine a happy ever after given his reputation, but he makes her feel so good.

As the sparks between them intensify, they’re both hesitant to commit for very different reasons. Or are they really just sabotaging their own futures? If they can trust each other—and themselves—they may realize that what they share is too good to let slip away.

I am so glad that after Burke wrote the Archers that she didn't stop there. I really loved the Westcott boys and wanted their stories, now I'm going to be able to get them.

You learn about the Westcott brothers in Dylan's book, Only in My Dreams. From then on I wanted to know more. What can I say, I'm nosy. I'm a authors dream reader. All they need to do is mention someone and I have to know about them.

Drives me up a wall. Ha!

You might get a glace of the brothers in Dylan's book but you really get to know them in Hayden's book, You're Still the One. That where this off shoot of the series comes from. Being a HUGE fan of the Ribbon Ridge series I'm going to tell you to read that first then start the Ribbon Ridge: Love on the Vine series. It will give you a better feel for the area and the people. Plus you'll get to know Hayden and his family who make appearances in So Good.

Cameron Westcott is up first. The player of the family. I've got to tell you that I got tired of everyone saying that. In fact it's one of the reasons Brooke didn't want to date him. It kind of bugged me that neither his friends or family along with Brooke really took the time to notice how much his life had changed. It made me a little mad.

This is one of the reasons I really enjoy her books. They often both piss me off and make me tear up. My emotions get a workout that's for sure.

Now don't get me wrong I really liked Brooke, but sometimes....

I did forgive her a lot because I too have dealt with some of what she's dealing with in her life and talking about it isn't always easy. See what I did here? Now you'll really want to know what I'm talking about and have to read the book.

My job here is done!

As a whole, the book is very enjoyable and like I said your emotions will run the gambit. A ton of ups and downs. After I was done I couldn't wait to read the next one which is called So Right and is out in January.

If you've read So Good or any other book by Darcy Burke I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!
