Book Club Thursday: Revenge of the Nerds

Welcome back to Book Club Thursday!

Today we are doing a theme post about Nerds in books. I had a lot of fun with this post. I mean, who doesn't like a smart, sexy guy? Don't forget the cute glasses so many of them wear. Sigh! Here are some of my favorites. 

Wedding photographer Mackensie "Mac" Elliot is most at home behind the camera, but her focus is shattered moments before an important wedding rehearsal when she bumps into the bride-to-be's brother...an encounter that has them both seeing stars.

A stable, safe English teacher, Carter Maguire is definitely not Mac's type. But a casual fling might be just what she needs to take her mind off bridezillas. Of course, casual flings can turn into something more when you least expect it. And Mac will have to turn to her three best friends—and business partners—to see her way to her own happy ending.

I really loved this one. Carter was so cute. You couldn't help but like him. 

Desdemona Wainwright didn’t want to be in Sam Stark’s office, but her catering business was at stake. Someone had to pay the bill, and she wasn’t going to leave until she had a check from Sam Stark. It wasn’t her fault he was jilted at the altar.

Stark can’t believe he’s sharing details of his life with a caterer. He’s a private person, not one to have long, meaningful conversations with a complete stranger. So when Desdemona asks him, on a whim, to join her that evening for a play…he surprises himself by saying yes. A much bigger shock awaits — he’s about to meet Desdemona’s unusual family…

This is one of my all time favorite books. I just loved Stark. Now I kinda wish I had time to reread it. If you haven't yet read it you really should try it.

This one is so much fun. I found myself laughing more then once. You will find Marcus to be both sexy and smart. The whole package. 

As a boy, Nash Hawthorne spent countless afternoons on the Louisiana side of Cottonbloom with Tally Fournette, wading in the river, peeling oranges, and catching frogs. When illness stole his mother, Nash yearned to take Tally and run away - for good. Instead, he crossed the state line to live with his aunt. It was a short distance as the crow flies, but it swept him into a whole new world...

After Nash left, Tally managed to struggle through her own losses without him. but now that she's crossed paths with him again - at Cottonbloom College, where grown-up, gorgeous Nash teaches history - she is reminded of their cherished youthful connection...and an attraction that has only gotten stronger with age. Between Tally's possessive ex and Nash's snobbish aunt, no one things they belong together. In a town torn apart by old resentments and rivalries, can they find their way back to the life they once shared - and turn their long-lost dreams into a real and lasting love?

Nash, Nash, Nash! You've really got to love him. He's no longer just a nerd, he's so much more. Great story!! 

When a reporting job accidentally leads Zanita Masterson to genius extraordinaire Tyberius Augustus Evans, her world is turned upside down. The rogue scientist is six feet plus of piercing blue eyes, rock-hard muscles and maverick ideas, and the notion that this man is seriously interested in her seems insane. But a steamy night of monster movies, cookie-dough ice cream, and hot, wild love is almost enough to convince her that the passion-minded professor is determined to woo her with his own masterful equation for sizzling ecstasy and HIGH ENERGY!

I'm might not be a big fan of this new cover for High Energy, but I loved the book. Tyberius must be one of the sexiest nerd I've ever read. He's smart, hot and scary tough. This story and the one that comes after it are both worth reading! 

These are only a few of the nerd books I can remember that I really liked. Many of the books by Amanda Quick have nerdy, tough guys in her books. I can't wait to see what my fellow BCT blogger came up with for this post.
