Book Club Thursday: Free Day!

Welcome back to Book Club Thursday! I so glad you've come back for a visit!

Today we are doing our Free Day Post! I both love and hate when we do it. Some month's I know right away what I want to talk about, others I'm totally lost. This is a lost moment. Not to worry, as we continue talking I'll think of something.

I know for many of you your kids summer vacation is almost over and school is about to beginning. I was wondering do you read more in fall and winter, or are do you read more in spring and summer?

Since my daughter is a adult, she still in school so that's something, I read more then before. Soccer games and dropping off and pick ups took a ton of my time.

Now I'm able to read slightly more, not a ton more, just slightly. I still suffer every once in a while from book reading overload. I just read so much and then I need to take a day or two off. Usually it happens when I read about 10-15 books in a very short time, or when I read something that's not really good!

A bad book can cause me a while to get into another book.

I keep looking at all the good books coming out and I'm pretty sure that this fall I'm going to be very busy reading. I've just signed up for some great review tours that I can't wait to share with you. I've mention in my I Can't Wait post that I'm looking forward to Her Renegade Cowboy from Jennifer Ryan. I'm also looking forward to reading Wild Embrace by Nalini Singh's. Love her books. There are a ton more to go along with those.

I'd really like to know, which season do you seem to read the most?

Thanks for visiting and happy reading!

  1. I go through reading spurts too. And yes reading a really crummy book can slow my pace but so will a really really good one! lol

    1. I try to find a book I love and reread it. That sometimes helps.

  2. I hate reading slumps. I go through spells where it takes me forever to read books I would normally breeze through, but sometimes it feels like I am reading the same book, just by a different author and titles and topics are just blurring together. There is no seasonal reading for me, I read all year, lol.

    1. I know the feeling. Some of my favorite authors can't grab me when I'm in one of those moods.
