Review: Don't Tempt Me by Lori Foster

Jason Guthrie has no time for entanglements—between helping out his widowed brother and teenage nephew and getting his hometown back on its feet, his days are spoken for. But his nights are another story… And when his lovely new neighbor, Honor Brown, reluctantly accepts his help in remodeling her house, Jason finds himself wishing his handyman skills could knock down the defenses she keeps building around herself.

Martial arts teacher Sullivan Dean knows real danger when he sees it—even when it takes the form of the gorgeous blonde helping her friend move in across the street. After putting his wayward past behind him to focus on teaching control to troubled kids, Sullivan has learned to avoid party girls like Lexie Perkins. But Sullivan can’t seem to keep his hands off the real woman behind that flirty charm—or keep his heart from landing at her feet…

I was so thrilled to be able to read a ARC copy of Don't Tempt Me. Lately I've found myself becoming behind on reading Foster and I'm not sure why. I've always enjoyed her books so I'm hoping it's because  I just have way to many books to read.

Truer words were never spoken.

I'm going to gush a little bit here but I can't help myself. I really enjoyed Don't Tempt Me. It reminded me of the books that Foster used to write in the beginning of her career. Just a clear, straight forward romance.

You will love all the characters! Now remember, this is really two stories in one. You'll get Jason and Honor's story along with their friends Sullivan and Lexie. I will break this review down and talk about both couples stories and then the story as a whole.

Jason Guthrie & Honor Brown

I really love Jason and wish I could find a mister fix-it like him. I don't know about you but I find a man really sexy when he's able to build things for you. I always need more book shelves and with Pintrest I don't want any old plain ones either.

Add in the fact that he's taken in his brother and nephew...do I need to say more? Sexy all the way. He also is so sweet to Honor who has a host of issues to deal with. You'll also enjoy both his brother and nephew. His brother's story is in the next book so not to worry. You'll know what his future is.

Now Honor needs a kick in the butt. Not because of the fact she's not a good person, no...it's that very reason she needs the kick in the butt. She to good!!!!

Sullivan Dean & Lexie Perkins

I liked Sullivan but wish I got to know him a little more. He seems like a real caring guy who doesn't want others to know that. He works hard and also plays hard too. That is until he meet the one person who could put a stop to that.

Lexie is one of the best people. I'd love her for a friend. She'll ride any wave with you and then some. I loved how she was with Honor. She stood toe to toe with anyone who'd say a harsh word to honor. The only issue I had with her was that she didn't really think she need or deserved love in her life.

She was so wrong.

The whole story!

Like I mentioned above, this is a really good story. You'll want to know what's going on between the two couples but at the same time want more about the men in this neighborhood, like a certain sheriff. I also mentioned that there is another book coming out with these characters called, Worth the Wait our July 25th 2017!

It really better be worth the wait. Ha!

If you are looking for something easy to read, with engaging characters then Don't Tempt Me is the book for you!

If you've read Don't Tempt Me or any other book by Lori Foster I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting with me and happy reading!
