Once guilty of the deadly sin of gluttony, thousand-year-old Viking vampire angel Cnut Sigurdsson is now a lean, mean, vampire-devil fighting machine. His new side-job? No biggie: just ridding the world of a threat called ISIS while keeping the evil Lucipires (demon vampires) at bay. So when chef Andrea Stewart hires him to rescue her sister from a cult recruiting terrorists at a Montana dude ranch, vangel turns cowboy. Yeehaw!

The too-tempting mortal insists on accompanying him, surprising Cnut with her bravery at every turn. But with terrorists stalking the ranch in demonoid form, Cnut teletransports Andrea and himself out of danger—accidentally into the tenth-century Norselands. Suddenly, they have to find their way back to the future to save her family and the world . . . and to satisfy their insatiable attraction.

I love, love anything that Sandra Hill writes. She is just one of those authors that you can't live without. Her books are always easy to get into and they make me laugh. Her men are so funny!!!

Let's not forget, sexy!!!!

I've been loving her Deadly Angel's since book #1 and here we are on book #7. How fast this series has moved. Out of all her hero's Cnut is one of my favorite. From the second you meet him you want to know his story.

Of course I have a huge issue with his name, from the second I read it, my mind changed it to something else and since then, I have trouble calling him by his true name.

Thanks God I don't read out loud! Ha-ha!

I think of all the brothers Cnut's story is one we all can really relate to. So many of us use food to hide other issues. As you read his story you really see how much food has run his life and how much he hates it.

You'll also will enjoy Andrea, she's a very sweet, caring, pushover. She lets her family treat her pretty badly. I get it, I just wish we had that moment in the book where she tells them, enough is enough!

The time-travel part of this story is one of the best parts. I'm glad that Cnut feels he gets some resolution for his past. I do feel like I was missing part of that part of the story. They came back to our time so quick, it felt like the story was left unfinished.

Of course that's my only complaint.

She set's up Zeb's story, (my second favorite character of this series) and makes you want it now!  It's going to kill me until Good Vampires Go to Heaven out on Nov 29th! I want it NOW!!!!

Now if she's only write Michael's story...hint, hint!!!!

If you've read The Angel Wore Fangs, or any other book by Sandra Hill I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!

  2. I LOVE this author too, although she isn't as engaging in her latest books as her earlier books or it could just be me!! haha But yeah I love CNUT!! But what a odd name right? Glad you are loving the Vangels. But what I admire most about this author is her humor.

    1. I love her humor! That's the best part of her. I think her older books are better too or maybe it's just that after reading so many of her books none of her newer ones are very fresh to me.
