A marriage-of-convenience allows the two unluckiest people in town to foster their personal dreams. Falling in love wasn’t part of the bargain, so no one is more surprised than Georgie and Bryce when sexual sparks ignite a full-blown romance. Unfortunately as love swells, trouble mounts, including a glitch at ID.com. Georgie and Bryce weren’t meant to be.
We might have had to wait for what seemed like forever but I'll tell you it was well worth the wait. Of course when you do wait over a year for the next book some things about the series are hard to remember. I had to go back and review the first two books just so I got a idea of who all the players are.
Once I had everyone straight in my head the story moved much faster. I was able to jump into it and enjoy it.
I really liked Georgie from the prior books. There was just something about her that drew me like a moth to a flame. I liked her and couldn't wait for her story. After reading Marry Poppins all I can say is that it was well worth the wait.
I loved it!
I've always been a fan of Ciotta ability to write small-town romances with those fun, out of this world characters. The way her characters handle things in their lives often have me thinking...why the hell did you do that? But then, when I really think about it, I find myself thinking I would have done it the same way. I love when the books I enjoy draw me in so much I feel a part of them.
Georgie you'll love right away. She's just a very sweet woman who's looking for the happiness she feels is missing from her life. Of course if this wasn't fiction we'd all know that substituting a new family won't make up from the family you never had as a child, but it does help you to move on.
Now Bryce was another kettle of fish. At times I wasn't sure of him as the hero of this story. But as I continued to read I found he was plagued with the same fears as we all are. It sucks when you heart wants one thing, and your mind another.
I'm happy to say that they both got their acts together and figured out what they both needed. By the end of the story you've learn so much about the series, or at least you think you have. I have a feeling Ciotta has something up her sleeves. I will tell you that something I learned in the story both shocked me but really didn't. I know, I'm confusing you. Not to worry once you read it you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Another plus to this story is Angel and Ryan. That's all I'm saying...evil laugh here!
I will say one thing, I can't wait for more of this series and hope that we will get the next book when she said we will. According to her website, I kind of doubt it because that would mean we'd get another book fairly quickly after this one. If we have to wait until the fall I'm okay with that, I just don't want to wait another year. I love her books and miss reading her more often.
