Review/Release Day & Giveaway: Holiday Kisses by Melody Grace

Title: Holiday Kisses
Author: Melody Grace
Genre: Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: December 4, 2015

Hot British director Dash Everett needs inspiration - and fast. He’s hoping that a Christmas vacation in Sweetbriar Cove will give him everything he needs to break his writer’s block: a deserted cabin, his laptop, and his old friend Jack (Daniels, that is). But it turns out, isolation isn’t nearly as inspiring as the beautiful spitfire behind the front desk...

Ellie Lucas isn’t crazy about spending her holidays catering to the arrogant (and sexy) guest in Cabin 4 -- and she really doesn’t have time to play muse. She’s ready to leave her small-town behind for a fresh start, but when an unexpected snowstorm sends both their plans awry, she finds that a dash of Hollywood magic is exactly what she needs to see the joy in one more Sweetbriar Cove Christmas.

When I saw the cover to Holiday Kisses I couldn't wait to read it. I didn't even bother looking into what the book was about.

My bad...

If I had, I would have known it was first person. I'm not a fan of first person. But since I agreed to review it I sucked it up and read it.

I'm happy to report that I enjoyed it. I will tell the truth and say I think I would have enjoyed it even more if it hadn't been in first person. But....we all can't have what we want.

I found Holiday Kisses to be a sweet, sexy read. Good characters and a heartwarming story. All the things you want in you holiday books.

This is the perfect holiday read, it's very easy to get into and is only about novella size so you can read it while drinking your morning coffee.

A big plus for me was that even though it was first person I didn't feel like the only work the author knew was I.

If you've read Holiday Kisses or any other book by Melody Grace I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!

  1. Love the teasers you shared!! This sounds like a wonderful Christmas romance. I agree, I am not a fan of first person and it takes me awhile to get used to once I start reading one with that POV.

    1. I was good. I take a little time with the 1st person too. It's a whole different mind set.
