Review: The Warrior Vampire by Kate Baxter

The Warrior Vampire
Last True Vampire #2
Kate Baxter
St. Martin's Paperback

The vampire was built for sin, every inch of him tight and bulky with corded muscle. A killer, that much was apparent, and she couldn't help but wonder if his appetite for violence would rival his appetite for other...things
A WOMAN SEDUCED

Naya Morales is no ordinary mortal. Born with a shaman's power, she has devoted her life to tracking down stolen magic--and punishing those who take it. But one fateful night, she follows the alluring call of a sensual magic that is too glorious to be true--and finds herself face to face with a stunningly handsome thief who is too magnificent to resist...

A VAMPIRE ENSLAVED

From the moment he sees her, Ronan knows Naya is his mate. Driven by a deep, mystical connection, he aches for her body, hungers for her blood, and swears their souls are anchored together. Naya refuses to believe the words of a vampire--or risk the wrath of her tribe. But when she tries to make Ronan her prisoner, neither chains of silver nor fires of hell can help her escape the truth: she is the one who's been captured...

The Warrior Vampire is a great addition to the Last True Vampire series. I loved Ronan in The Last True Vampire and couldn't wait for his story. I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed Warrior Vampire and found it to be very easy to read.

I was able to get into the story right away. It somewhat picks up where The Last True Vampire ends. Because I liked Ronan so much I knew that his mate would have to be very special. Naya turned out to be special indeed.

Her and Ronan work so well together. The beginning of their relationship started off rocky, of course what would you expect when a witch meets a vampire?

Plus add someone working against them and her not really free to mate with him and you have a great story.

I haven't really been into vampire romance in a while. I'm very picky with who I read and I can say that Baxter is one of my favorites. Her books aren't complicated, they are more about the characters then some crazy plot twist.

She gives you characters you like...and ones you wouldn't mind seeing go bye bye! Try to guess who I'm talking about!

I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. I hope I don't have long to wait!

If you've read The Warrior Vampire, or any other book by Kate Baxter I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!
