Review: Sweet Ride by Cathryn Fox

Sweet Ride
#3 Playing For Keeps
by Cathryn Fox

He'll unlock her wildest fantasies...

Private investigator Curtis Jagger has always had a thing for Alix Harris. She was the darling of their high school--gorgeous, popular, class president...and, he suspects, just as naughty as she is nice. Now Jag has the opportunity to show her what she's missing. To show her that sometimes being bad can be sexy as hell...

Alix has always done what she's supposed to, and it's gotten her exactly nowhere. Determined to please herself--in every way possible--she accepts Jag's mysterious invitation to his ranch. In front of Jag's camera lens, Alix finds freedom far beyond her expectations. A freedom where she takes the reins and rides out every wicked desire.

But in one week, Alix will have to return to her real world where politics reign. A world that can't include Jagger, or she'll lose everything.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Cathryn is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. She has two teenagers who keep her busy with their never ending activities, and a husband who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. Cathryn can never find balance in her life, is always trying to find time to go to the gym, can never keep up with emails, Facebook or Twitter and tries to write page-turning books that her readers will love.

One of the things I very much enjoy about book by Cathryn Fox is that they are always easy to read. Some books you might have trouble getting into, or there are characters you just don't like, that never happens for me with her books.

The Playing For Keeps series has been fun. The idea that someone who fell for you in the past wants this small moment in time with you to see if there could be something forever between you was so romantic to me.

Throw in some hot sex and off we go!

I really enjoyed both Curtis and Alix! I also really enjoyed there story line too. The author does a great job of how she had them figure out what they wanted in their future. You really cheer them on as a couple.

I will say out of the three books this one is the weakest. I can't really put my finger on it but it's missing something the others had. Of course that doesn't mean it's not a good story, because it most certainly is, it just means the other two are slightly better.

Let's be honest, that always happens in series and trilogies. There's that one book you just don't like as much as the others.

For me, Sweet Ride was it. Of course it could be because it was the last of the three friends and I didn't want this series to end. Either way, as a whole this is a wonderful series.

I can't believe I've gone so long without reading something by Cathryn Fox until I started this series. When I did start reading it I realized what I was missing.

If you've read, Sweet Ride or any other book by Cathryn Fox I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!
