Review: Second Chance Summer by Jill Shalvis
Second Chance Summer
#1 Cedar Ridge Novel
by Jill Shalvis
The Kincaid brothers are as rough and rugged as the Rocky Mountains they call home. Aidan has always done things his own way, by his own rules. And never has he regretted anything more than letting Lily walk out of his life ten years ago. If anyone has ever been in need of rescuing, she has. What she needs more than anything are long hikes, slow dances, and sizzling kisses. But that can only happen if he can get her to give Cedar Ridge-and this bad boy-a second chance . . .

I've have to tell you that I just love books by Jill Shalvis. If you've read her or follow her on Facebook you know how funny she is. I really enjoy that in the books I read. Of course, she also writes wonderful story with heartwarming characters.
When I found out that Shalvis was ending her Lucky Harbor series I was so sad. I've loved that series from the beginning. But I get that she might want to have moved on. Understand, but still didn't like it.
So of course because I love her books I bought Second Chance Summer right away but just couldn't bring myself to read it the second I got it. Childish...I know!
Of course as you can see I did read it and I'm here to let you know what I thought of it.
Second Chance Summer starts off the series and I have to say it started it with a bang. Remember how I told you that one of the things I love about her books is that fact that she has humor in them? Well Second Chance Summer is full of humor. I can't tell you how much I laughed.
I'm not going to go into why I laughed, you know how I hate ruining the story for you but I will say one thing....girls panties! Get reading!
I really loved Aidan and his brothers. In fact his oldest brother is married already in the series and I really love him and would have loved his story, but since I really like his wife too, I don't want to go back. He's the perfect secondary character.
You will like Lily and at first maybe think to yourself...how could she have left. Just keep reading. It's well worth it. You will love this book. I keep saying that. It really sums it up for me. It's prefect for the busy holidays when you want to read something that moves fast. It's also the perfect book to get that friend of yours that says they aren't really in the romance.
Just in case all I've said hasn't yet pushed you over the ledge and into reading Second Chance Summer let me say this...picture window and a tall naked man!
Do I have your attention now?
If you've read Second Chance Summer or any other book by Jill Shalvis I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!
Aw man, you know I'm so behind. Now I want to read this, too!
