Book Club Thursday: Review "Any Anthology"
Welcome Back to Book Club Thursday!
Today we are reviewing "Any Anthology" I hate to admit how many books I had to choice from. In the end I'm glad I picked the one I did.
I picked....Supernatural
In this tantalizing collection, four New York Times bestselling authors invite you into the alluring worlds they created in the Demonica, Guardians of Eternity, Nightwalkers, and Dragon Kin series. Each mesmerizing page will leave you craving more…
VAMPIRE FIGHT CLUB, by Larissa Ione:
When a wave of violence forces shapeshifter Vladlena to go undercover, her first stop is a haven of vice – with a dangerously sexy vamp in charge. Both Vladlena and Nathan are hiding something, but they can’t conceal the lust that simmers between them…
DARKNESS ETERNAL, by Alexandra Ivy:
After being held captive by one vampire for four centuries, Kata had no intention of taking another one to the underworld with her. Yet even in the pits of hell, there’s no ignoring the intoxicating desire awakened by his touch. . .
KANE, by Jacquelyn Frank:
Kane knows Corrine was meant to be his. . . just as he knows that truly possessing the lovely human is forbidden. But on the night of the Samhain moon, the beast in every demon is stronger than reason, and Kane’s hunger is more powerful than any punishment. . .
DRAGON ON TOP, by G.A. Aiken
Escorting the highborn Bram through deadly Sand Dragon territory will try Ghleanna’s patience. . . and her resolve. For Bram is determined to enhance the journey with a seduction no female could resist. . .
My thoughts...
I will try to break down each story for you then do a summary of the entire book.
Vampire Fight Club by Larissa Ione:
I want to say this was my favorite of the bunch. It's part of her Demonica series and that's one I love. Poor Vladlena has such a shitty family. You won't be able to not feel sorry for her. But not to worry. In the end she kicks-ass! I loved Nathan! Together they are a very good team. You also get to visit with past characters in the series which is fun.
Darkness Eternal by Alexandra Ivy:
This story is part of Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series. It's one I really enjoy. This is the perfect addiction to that series. I loved the characters and the story. You find yourself cheering on Kata when she goes up against her sister. This novella will make you want more of this series.
Kane by Jacquelyn Frank:
I always enjoy book by Frank. She has very likable characters that you want more from. My only problem with her is that it seems she doesn't have as much dialogue between the characters. It doesn't make her books bad, just a little harder and slower to read.
Dragon on Top by G. A. Aiken:
This is part of her Dragon Kin series. I love those books! In fact I love everything she writes, in whatever name she's using. You'll find this story to be well-written and make you laugh and laugh. It's a great story to end the book on! Pure fun!
As a whole I really enjoyed this book. I was able to catch up a little on some of my favorite series that I'm slightly behind on...I know, I'm always behind! If you haven't yet read any of these authors then this is the perfect book for you. You'll be able to get a taste of them all. Each story is so well-written that you'll know right away if you'd like to read more by them.
If you've read this book or any of these authors I'd love to hear your thoughts...Happy reading!
