Book Club Thursday: Let's Hear it for The Moms

Welcome back to Book Club Thursday!

Today we are doing a theme day: Let's Hear it for the Moms. With Mother's Day right around the corner we thought this was the best time!

We are going to give a shout out to the mothers (grandmothers) we love best in some of our favorite books.

Mother's

One of my favorite mother's is Grace Sinclair from the The Chesapeake Diaries series written by Mariah Stewart. You just can't help loving her. She sweet and loves and misses her children. She's always there for those around her when they are in need. This is the perfect series to get caught up on (or start) this summer.

Since I told you one of my favorite mothers, I have to tell you one of my favorite mothers who isn't what you'd call loving but she'll crack you up.

I will admit I don't remember her name but Douglas Sherbrooke mother is one of the nastiest pieces of work that I've every had the pleasure to read about. You won't be able to stop yourself. This is a must read for historical readers.

Grandmother's

One of my favorite grandmother's is Mrs. Thalberg from the town of Valentine Valley. She along with her fellow windows spend time causing trouble. Make sure to add this series to your to-be-read-piles!

On the flip side of how sweet Mrs Thalberg is, Mrs. Sweet comes off as not the nicest. All for show. She likes to hide her caring.

Another of my favorite grandmother's in Daisy Monroe from the Cup Cakes Lovers Series by Beth Ciotta. She is so full of life that you can't help by loving her.

I'm sure there are wonderful (or not so) mothers and grandmothers in the books you read. We'd love to hear about them.

Don't forget to show my fellow Book Club Thursday Bloggers some love.

Stop by on May 14th when we are doing a Reading Challenge 2015 post
