Book Club Thursday: Reading Challenge 2015

Welcome back everyone!

We decided we'd love to do a Book Club Thursday Reading Challenge. Once a month one of our post will be a challenge book. Our Challenge list is pretty short due to the fact that we all have busy lives and want to make sure we could do at least one book a month for it. We hope you'll join us. You can find the list here...Reading Challenge 2015 I will also post it every challenge post.

1. Read a book with a hero's name that gives you that warm feeling.
2. A book that makes you cry.
3. A book with a one word title.
4. A book with a single father.
5. A place that you've always wanted to visit.
6. A book with the words LOVE or KISS in the title.
7. A book with poor reviews in RT Book Reviews or Goodreads (if u use Goodreads most of the reviews should be bad or RT like two stars)
8. A book with non humans (can be paranormal or a book with dogs or cats or animals part of the plot line)
9. A book you finish in a day.
10. A book written by a author who has your initials.
11. A book with a color in the title.
12. A book set in the future.

For this month I picked...
8. A book with non humans (can be paranormal or a book with dogs or cats or animals part of the plot line)

Santa Wore Leathers
Vonnie Davis

There’s only one thing on Becca Sinclair’s Christmas list this holiday season – her very own column in the local paper. And if she can build a huge blog following, her wish just might come true.

Enter Dan ‘Wolf’ Wolford, aka the man-whore next door, and the new star of Becca’s popular, post-divorce blog about men. A Navy SEAL turned commander of the Florida Marine Rescue Unit, Wolf’s the very definition of the word alpha – and with an endless rotation of women on his doorstep, this hunk on a Harley has Becca and her female followers all hot and bothered!

All Becca wants for Christmas is her own newspaper column, right? But when she finds herself the target of Wolf’s irresistible attentions, her snarky comebacks become less and less convincing and, suddenly, she’s not so sure anymore…

As you can tell I picked challenge  #8. A book with non humans (can be paranormal or a book with dogs or cats or animals part of the plot line) Santa Wore Leathers is not a paranormal but has a German Shepherd named Einstein that makes the story line. He spends a lot of time stealing his house mate Becca's, underwear to give to Wolf. It's really funny. This is the second book I've read of Ms. Davis, the first one was A Highlander's Obsession. Great story! Santa Wore Leathers is a novella that introduces the Wild Heat series. These firemen are so...HOT! But enough about them, back to Becca and Wolf. You'll love Becca's opinion on  Wolf and his actions, only to learns that she is totally wrong. What do they say about judging a book by it's cover? It's works for people too. Poor Becca has some real trust issues, then again so does Wolf. He seems to have it more together but you'll learn that no one is without problems They both had to learn to trust each other and really give a little of themselves. All I can say is holy smoke this is a good story. Like the play of words? Me too! Happy Reading!

Don't forget to stop by my fellow Book Club Thursday Bloggers and see which challenge they did.

Stop by on January 22nd when we will be doing a giveaway. We will be a ebook copy of Santa Wore Leather by Vonnie Davis.

Remember, if you've read a book that falls into any of our challenges this month tell us about it! We'd love to hear more.
