All of London
knows the Duke of Rutherford has position and wealth. They also
whisper that he’s dissolute, devilish, and determinedly unwed. So
why, everyone is asking, has he hired a governess?
When Miss Lily
Russell crosses the threshold of the Duke of Rutherford’s stylish
townhouse, she knows she has come face to face with sensual danger.
For this is no doting papa. Rather, his behavior is scandalous, and
his reputation rightly earned. And his pursuit of her is nearly
irresistible—but resist she must for the sake of her pupil.
As for the
duke himself, it was bad enough when his unknown child landed on his
doorstep. Now Lily, with her unassuming beauty, has aroused his most
wicked fantasies—and, shockingly, his desire to change his wanton
ways. He’s determined to become worthy of her, and so he asks for
her help in correcting his behavior.
But Lily has a
secret, one that, if it becomes known, could change everything . . .

Romancing the Readers would like to welcome Megan Frampton for stopping by! Thank you!
Hello, and thanks for having me at
Romancing the Reader!
The Duke’s Guide to Correct Behavior
does indeed include a guide to being a duke (because so many of us
need that guide, right?).
One of the reasons I like guides and
such so much is that I can be pretty clueless at times about what to
do in certain situations. So I thought I’d talk about what guides
would be really useful to those of us who are not dukes (raise your
hands, everyone!).
The Introvert’s Guide to Attending a
Cocktail Party without Hiding by the Snack Table the Entire Time:
Are you shy and retiring, but still
watching your waistline? Don’t worry! We have all the tricks to
making polite conversation at a cocktail party that doesn’t mean
you’ll just be chowing down on onion dip the entire time and
talking about the quality of the potato chips. Tips include: Asking
the loudmouth in the room to tell you all about his latest job
success; offering to refresh everyone’s drinks; recounting the
entire plot of Pulp Fiction in correct chronological order.
How to Look Your Best without Looking
Like You Tried When You Know You’ll be Running Into an Ex and His
New Girlfriend
Sure, you dumped him, but still. You
don’t want him to think you’re doing worse now that you’ve
broken up, do you? But you also don’t want him (or more importantly
his new girlfriend, who can probably spot this stuff better) to know
you actually care about how you look in front of him. Tips include:
Flipping your head upside down right before you walk into the room so
your hair is extra bouncy; kissing a random hot stranger for five
minutes and making sure to keep the smug smile on your face after;
accidentally texting him something flirty (not a sext, mind you!) and
then immediately following up with an ‘oops, wrong number, sorry!’
How to Effectively Disguise the Naughty
Stuff You’re Reading on Your Kindle When You’re in a Public Place
You take your e-reader everywhere,
right? And sometimes—well, maybe a lot of the time—you’re
reading some super seriously hot material that you really don’t
want anybody to know about. But you’re on the subway, or at a
parents’ meeting waiting for it to start, or on an airplane, and
someone else is RIGHT there next to you, and you really don’t want
him or her to see what you’re reading. Tips include: Adjusting your
hands and arms to shield the page; lowering the type size; flipping
to something very academic (ie boring) like a calculus textbook and
letting the person read THAT, then switching back when they look
away.
