Book Club Thursday: Love in Her Dreams by Isobelle Cate

Love in Her Dreams

The first time I stepped on Scottish soil, I fell in love with the place. I went to Scotland thrice last year and still couldn't get enough of it.  Once to meet an American author I greatly admire who was on vacation, and twice to take friends and family to visit Edinburgh and Stirling.  It is a place I'm willing to wake up really early and walk the Royal Mile to the Edinburgh Castle alone, knowing that this part of Edinburgh was the scene of executions of men and women for witchcraft and that ghosts abounded. And that's not even the tip of the iceberg.

In a moment of inspiration, Alec and Tamsyn's story came to me. I started writing feverishly on a Saturday morning and had the first completed draft by Sunday evening. It was rejected the first time I sent it off so I honed and made it as perfect as I could before I sent it off to Secret Cravings.

Here we are again, it's Book Club Thursday. I hope you take the time to post a comment and to remember to visit the other two blogs participating in Thursday Book Club. I also want to remind you that because this is a book club there will be spoilers.

I thought long and hard about what to say this week. I will start off with telling you that Love in Her Dreams is very HOT! For a short book I couldn't believe how much sex was written into it. I did like both Alec and Tamsyn. I also enjoyed the idea of the story plot, but found the writing to be somewhat stilled. I can't say if I would or wouldn't read another book by Cate.

I give this book 2.5 stars.

If you've read this book I'd love to hear what you thought about it. Don't forget to stop by my fellow blogs and see what they thought about Love in Her Dreams.

*Born to Read Books won't have their post up until Friday 24th. We are sorry for the delay.
